retell - wet market vs hypermarket ? is it true that wet market is now being threaten with the existence of hypermarkets ? yes it is.realising it or not , people has improved their status of living due to education. many people lead a very hectic life nowadays. they cant spend their time waking up as early as 6am and rush to the wet market with their suits and casual attire bargaining over fish , prawns and chicken.according to the article attached ,transportation is one of the reason which causes the prices in wet market somehow could be higher . suppliers tend to charge extra for the transportation and as a result . consumers will purchase it at higher prices.randomly if we ask anyone, everyone will answer hypermarkets are more convenience nowadays , there are parking lots which are spacious enough , trolley which means we dont have to carry the basket full with fish , vegetables and even more comfortable.with all the facilities provided , no doubt why people seek to do their groceries and stuff in hypermarkets. and the great question is can wet market survive ? my answer in ten years time it might be harder for us to have it in our neigbourhood . however , is some part of malaysia. we are still looking forward to go to wet market as they think wet market is still the best place to buy fish , crabs and etc and it is more guaranteed fresh . for example in north and east peninsular malaysia.eg. kedah ,perlis, kelantan, terengganu.

relate : to be honest , being as young as 18 years old girl , i would definitely prefer to go to hypermarkets. malaysian markets are now loaded with hypermarkets like giant , carefour ,pacific , tesco , mydin and one i cant resist the most cold storage. i would agree that its actually not because hypermarkets are way better and provide the most fresh supply of (fish, chicken, squids and etc) but the matter of time always influence us. in subang for example , the traffic jam is almost killing us, drivers, even if you go out as early as 6.30 am also , you still have to deal with the traffic. so , if i were a career woman , i need to use my early morning to prepare my kids and myself rather than go to wet market. therefore , hypermarkets are the best option , i can go there at night or during weekend with my family. facilities provided are also one of the factor , of course most of us prefer to be in a place which is fully conditioned rather than in a place where we have to make sure our jeans is not sweeping the wet floor with fish's smell.from my view, i think packaging is also influencing consumer's choice. things sold in hypermarkets always more attractive and looks clean. somehow , i also think that the authorities have to do something to maintain wet market which symbolise traditional market in malaysia and most people aged 45-60 , i believe would definitely prefer wet market instead of hypermarkets.

reflect - market could be related to physical place which the purchasing happens , related to the buyers and sellers and price agreed by the sellers and buyers. maybe there are differences between wet market and hypermarket but at the end of the day, it is still the same , it is market , and the term market is definitely does not just considering physical place that take place during the purchasing happens.
