That Mudbrick adventure!

That one thing I wanted to do was to include Waiheke in the itinerary. So i made it happened. It was only a 40 minutes ferry ride from Auckland city. Perfect. I would have really loved the drizzly weather, chilly and gloomy but to put it in a sentence, that was a little difficult too.

Had my wellies on and was all the way ready for Waiheke! We took a bus from the Matiatia ferry port to Oneroa. Breathtaking view and Oneroa is a small town with really really really laid back lifestyle. We spent at least an hour at the Oneroa beach and took the time to sit on a bench, had few minutes of journalling done with 'Let It Be Me' playing.

The sight of a little boy with his father definitely caught our attention. Having had the childhood of connecting with sand, beaches and nature, he sure is a lucky boy!

We continued our journey to another beach and decided to stop at one of the stops to catch another bus to get us to the famous Mudbrick vineyard. No bus would take us there since it is a privately owned area, so we had to walk approximately around 20 minutes. Worth of a little hike up of the vineyards and we were welcomed with undeniable stunning view. Auckland from another side and lush green sceneries. We knew we wouldnt have it differently even though it sure had big butts, gun boots, and sweats walking up to the vineyard in the rain.

Amazing experience, that Mudbrick adventure.
