The Sacrifice.

Often love, pain and sacrifices come in the picture tangling to one another. Sacrifice means having to let go or detach yourself from your wants. This act of forgoing your wants simply inflict pain of letting go.

The story of Abraham's decision to sacrifice his love (his son) for God has symbolically teaches me the meaning of Eid Adha. It has never been this meaningful as the day I realized that you can only love so much, you can only want so much but God has His own way of showing you whether your wants will do you good or you will only get better and thougher from your sacrifices.

Have faith in God's intention. When you let go of your attachment in life, you'll realize your role in the temporary world is to only do your best. But if it goes out of your hand, you go back to square one and understand that your patience, your strength, your sacrifices are the product of your kind faith.

To decide to let go is a gracious act of your sacrifices in life. To not be forceful when it shall not, to do your very best (when you can) and let God works His mystery way of teaching you life.
