Happy Women's International Day!
I have not been doing much writing on blogspot probably because I am doing much writing at work.
Can be exhausting to be flaring the same manner of writing but work is work, so I am keeping it aside. I have been pushing for my girls to write. To acknowledge their feel, their emotions, and to let go of anger. I am glad that I could at least be that much of a help!
Going back to the mentioned above topic, I am glad that we could now see the emphasis on appreciating women all over the world. We talk of empowerment, lifting each other, get into circles and help each other out. Guess what they're gushing about every now and then is really making things fruitful.
I am surrounded by women and strong girls. I was brought up knowing I have my says in pretty much everything I decide. Well, I dont like the cleaning house part that most people assume is girls' thing (cultural wise without going on generalising it) but yes, other than that, I see no issue. My father doesn't make my mom or my sisters cook, nor forcing us to do things for them. And when we do, my father would say thank you and same goes with the brothers.
And that goes to a million others out there, when we see no issue, we see less impacts of the matter impacting ourselves, our lives nor our loved ones. We let go of the effort because in all honestly we get to see less direct impact to our everyday living. However, what we don't get to see each day everyday is other women, our circle being mistreated in family, at work, in a country and many other settings.
Without ensuring the five - education, economy, health, safety, culture are easily accessed by girls and women in the world, there will always be disparity in opportunities for betterment.
Are you in the circle?
