Short journey home, to the north.

The feeling to be home is undeniably great. It is rather a short and brief one but I would not
trade anything for this. It has been a while and I truly am blessed for how my hometown is keeping me grounded.

Living in a city gives you the access to almost anything, and it is also the place where you work, hustle and bustle in the hecticness, and to describe best, city of temptation. So tempted that at times, you get that over your head and sanity.

Coming back home means to be reminded of your root and understand that life needs a pause, to understand that chasing worldly temptations can be good but there are more than that - values, principles, and most importantly your ability to be kind and nice. Your ability to learn everywhere from anyone who can teach you something.

Today, and old uncle reminded  me of how important kindness is and despite him going through the scorching hot sun, his ability to keep his both virtue and principle  taught me so much over the 5 mins encounter. I offered to give him a few Ringgit but he refused. Unfortunately, another cake at home would only be a waste since none of my family members will be eating the sweet cake. In an agreement, I bought cake to be given to the nurses at a nearby clinic. I got to double my act of giving but what he taught me was more than the few Ringgits.

I hope over our brief communication, he is also reminded that the world is also able of kindness and compassion.

Open your eyes and you'll see. Open your heart and you'll feel :)
