tender, kind hearted, generous, patience, adventurous - and I can go on and on talking about my dad. Not because he is the father, but he really is a wonderful person.
growing up, my mother would play the strict card while my father would be the go to person for anything - cash, new-hair money, skipping school, good food. He said yes to everything and of course, that is not what makes him wonderful.
the kind person he is, the husband that would stay up all night to ensure my mom was feeling comfortable, that makes him wonderful. For every time he speaks love of my late mother, and all that he is still doing for my mother, that what makes him wonderful. For every time he takes the time to listen to me resonate my decisions, that makes him wonderful. for him to trust his girl and let her go travel by herself, that makes him wonderful. for him to always remind us to care for others, that makes him wonderful.
today, he is not just the father, but also the very best-friend whom I share most of meals with, sing-in-the-car buddy, and my driving partner. we enjoy lazing at cafes, drinking coffee, having desserts and relationship talks.
I call myself lucky. Because my father really is wonnderful.
